• Does cyloop cost anything?

 

No, cyloop will always be free of charge for all members. In the future, there might be some features that may have some costs associated with them.

 

• Another cyloop member is making me uncomfortable, what can I do?

 

Please contact us by clicking the Contact link at the bottom of the screen and tell us what is going on.

 

• How do I enter my information into myHood?

 

Users

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the first link next to your picture: 'Profile - Your personal Info'

   

  You will find at the top of the screen several tabs: Personality, Description, Interest, Music, Basic Information and Education

   
 

• Enter each tab by clicking on it and complete the information requested

  Note: all the information is optional except for your email address and password

 

• Click Save at the end of each page

   
 

Artists

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the first link next to your picture: 'Profile - Your personal Info'

 

• You will find at the top of the screen several tabs: Artist/band, Genre, Biography, Discography, News, Shows and Basic Information

 

• Enter each tab by clicking on it and complete the information requested

  Note: all the information is optional except for your email address and password

 

• Click Save at the end of each page.

 

• How can I customize the look of myHood or profile page?

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the last link next to your picture: 'Design - Customize the look of yourHood'

 

• Select from the choices given (background color, tab color, font style, primary tab, secondary tab, etc)

 

• Click Save

 

You will see your page customized

 

• How can I add songs to myHood profile?

 

The moment you created your cyloop profile, a number of songs were automatically added to your myHood player. These songs are the winners of the 'BattleZone' during the week you created your cyloop profile. You can easily manage these songs as well as other songs you've collected through your personal music player.

 

• How can I collect music in cyloop?

 

There are several ways to collect music in cyloop:

 

• Visit any artist's or friend's profile and click on the 'Music' icon ( ) in the music player for each of the songs you want to add to your music collection.

 

• Visit any artist's or friend's' Music Collection and simply drag-and-drop your favorite songs into your playlists at the bottom left of the player.

 

• Visit the BattleZone. Once there, double-click on any of the songs competing in the battle, then click on the 'Music' icon ( ) in the music player at the bottom of the list for each of the songs you want to add to your music collection.

 

• How do I manage my music collection?

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the third link next to your picture: 'Music - Collect songs and create Playlists'

 

• On the left side of the screen you will find the Playlists. There are 3 permanent Playlists that have been automatically created for you:

 

• Top 25 cyloop - Tops songs of all cyloop

 

• Top 25 Friends - Top songs of your friends

 

• Garbage - To delete songs from Playlists, drag them in here

 

CREATING A PLAYLIST

 

• Beside the Playlists you will see the Add a Playlist icon   ( )

 

• After clicking the 'Add a Playlist' icon you will see the New Playlist window

   
  
  
  

• Just insert the name you want to call your Playlist and click Accept

 

INSERTING SONGS IN YOUR PLAYLIST

 

• Select the destination Playlist

 

• Drag and drop the song into it

 

Note: To drag multiple songs, select the songs holding down the Control Key or Shift Key and drag them into the Playlist while still holding down the Control or Shift key

 

• Where can I change my e-mail address and/or password?

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the first link next to your picture: 'Profile - Your personal Info'

 

• You will find at the top of the screen several tabs. Look for the Basic Information tab

 

• Enter the tab by clicking on it and change the information

 

• Click Save at the end of each page

 

Note: The next time you enter cyloop.com you will need to use the new email and/or the new password

 

• Where can I change my name, age, and/or add to the information on my profile?

 

Users

• You will find at the top of the screen the Basic Information tab

 

• Click on that tab and change the information

 

• Click Save at the end of the page

 

Artists

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the first link next to your picture: 'Profile - Your personal Info'

 

• You will find at the top of the screen the Biography tab

 

• Click on that tab and change the information

 

• Click on Save at the end of the page

 

• How many photos can I upload for free?

 

You can upload as many photos as you wish depending on their weight. The limit is 1Gb.

 

• Where can I upload pictures?

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the second link next to your picture: 'Photos - Share your photos'

 

• Click on the Upload photos tab

 

• Click the Browse button to select the image that you want to upload (at this point you can select as many images as you want. The limit is 1Gb)

 

• Click Submit Photos

 

• The image(s) will appear and you can insert a title and a description (to each of them)

 

• On the right side of the screen you will see a check-box 'Set as my main photo'. If you check this box, the image will appear in your myHood page as your main photo. You can select only one photo.

 

• Click Save

 

• Click on the myHood link in the main navigation

 

You will see your selected photo in your page

 

• I am getting error messages when trying to upload pictures, what can I do?

 

• Use the back browser button and try again.

 

• If it happens again please report the incident by contacting us

 

• Click on cyloop Feedback at the top right of your screen and complete the information.

• Where can I upload music?

*Only Artists may upload music to cyloop*

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the third link next to your picture: 'Music - Collect songs and create Playlists'

 

• Click the Upload Music tab

 

• Complete the information needed (Song name, Author, Album name, select Song genre, select year, complete Record Label and Lyrics)

 

• Click Browse

 

• Select the song file

  Note: All songs must be MP3 files (Ideally 44.1 KHz)

 

• Click Save

 

• Click on Music tab and you will find all the songs uploaded (including this last one)

 

• I am getting error messages when trying to upload music, what can I do?

 

• Use the back browser button and try again.

 

• If it happens again please report the incident by contacting us.

 

• Click on cyloop Feedback at the top right of your screen and complete the information.

• How do I change my default photo?

 

When you enter into your account follow these steps:

 

• Click on the second link next to your picture: 'Photos - Share your photos'

 

• Click on the image you want to be your default photo

 

• The image will appear and you can insert a title and a description

 

• On the right side of the screen you will see a check-box 'Set as my main photo'. Check this box.

 

• Click Save

 

• What are 'Friend Requests'?

 

Friends Requests can be Received or Sent.

 

The Received are the request you received from people to allow them to include you in their friends lists. If you see a number by Received, click on it and you can see each person that is asking you for permission to include you in his/her list. You can accept or decline. If you accept you will appear in his/her myHood page in the My Friends section.

 

The Sent are the requests you sent to people from cyloop that you want to add to your friends list. If you have a number by Sent, that means that you are waiting for a response; you can click on the number and see the list and Cancel the request.

 

When the response is 'acceptance' this friend will appear in your myHood page in the My Friends section.

 

• Can I communicate with people that are not in my friends list?

 

No, you can only send messages and comments to your friends

 

• Can I add anyone as my friend under 'myHood Friends'?

 

Yes, you can add anyone that is registered in cyloop.com

 

• How do I start a blog?

 

• Click on the fifth link next to your picture: 'Blogs - Create new and manage favorites'

 

• Click 'Create a new Blog'

 

• Complete the information

 

• Click Save

 

• How can I add a blog to my favorite blogs?

 

When you find a blog that you want to add to your favorite blogs, first click on it.

Then click on the button labeled 'Add to my favorite blogs' that is at the left of the screen.

That's it! The selected blog is appearing now in your favorite blogs list.

 

• What if I don't want everyone to see myHood profile?

 

You can choose who can see your profile among My Friends, Friends of my friends, only me and all cyloop.

 

To change your selection, follow these steps:

 

• When you enter into your account, click on the first link next to your picture: 'Profile - Your personal Info'

 

• You will find at the top of the screen the Basic Information tab

 

• Complete the section 'Who can see my profile'

 

• Click Save

 

• Can anyone leave a comment?

 

No, only your friends can leave you a comment.

 

• What are AutoTags?

 

AutoTags are keywords added automatically as hotlinks so you can search and meet friends and artists with the similar interests.

 

• What is a HoodMark?

 

My HoodMarks is a section where you can store all your favorite artists and bands. To add an artist to your HoodMarks, simply click on the 'Add to my HoodMarks' button found in the artists' page.

 

• How can I send a message?

 

To send a message, follow these steps:

 

• When you enter into your account, click on the third link next to your picture: 'Mail'

 

• Select which friends you would like to send a message to, write the message and press send. Its that easy!

 

You can also send a message to your friends by clicking 'send a message' directly from their profiles.

 

• What is my address (URL) at cyloop.com?

 

Your address is www.cyloop.com/(the name you entered at the registration)

You can see your address beside your profile picture

 

• I've forgotten my password, what can I do?

 

• Click 'Forgot your password'? Link

 

• Complete your e-mail

 

• Click Login

 

• You will be given the message: Your password has been successfully sent.

  Your password was sent to your email. Please check your email account for a message from cyloop. You will find your password there.

   

• What is MyWall and what can I do there?

 

MyWall is a place where you can express yourself. You can write text and add videos or photos that you may already have in PhotoBucket.com, Google.com, and YouTube.com.

 

• How do I search for friends and artists?

 

Simply go to 'Search' in the main navigation bar. Once there select either 'Search Friend's or 'Search Artists'. Fill in the criteria for your search and press Search.

 

• What is the BattleZone?

 

The BattleZone is an exclusive section that we created in cyloop that gives the audience the power to choose. It is about time that the people get to crown the top artists.

 

We designed it so each artist competes within their music genre. If you are an artist, simply upload your songs and select which ones you want to compete with. All users of cyloop get one vote per week. You can change your vote as many times as you like, but at midnight Sunday, all voting is finalized for the week.

 

The winning artists will get featured for the next week in several sections within cyloop, as the artist of the week of that genre, and the winning songs will be automatically added into the music players of all new members during that week.

 

• How do I compete in the BattleZone?

*Only Artists may compete in the BattleZone*

 

• Click on BattleZone

 

• Click on Administration

 

• Click 'Select' on the song line you want to participate in the competition

 

Note: The songs that you want to select must be previously uploaded

 

• How do I vote in the BattleZone?

 

• Click on BattleZone in the main navigation

 

• Click on the 'Vote' check-mark next to your favorite song

 

• Click 'Yes' to Confirm your vote for the week

 

Note: You only have one vote per genre per week (Battles run from Monday to Sunday), but you can change it as many times as you like.

 

• Where can I find more music?

 

Music is everywhere in cyloop. You can visit the Battle Zone, search for new artists in the Search area, visit your friend's music collections or you can visit the featured artists in the Music section.

 

• How can I rate songs?

 

To rate a song click on any of the five stars at the right side of the song in your main music player.

 

• I am an artist, what are the benefits of cyloop for me?

 

Well, let's start with the fact that cyloop was created for you! And, did we also mention that it is completely FREE?

 

Cyloop is a powerful tool for you to expose your content in a cool and professional format, so you can reach your audience more effectively. Not only does it provide you with a simple to use interface so that you can upload your content, easily design your profiles and communicate with your friends and fans, but it provides you with detailed statistics on what is happening in yourHood. In other words, cyloop let's you know where your fans are located, the demographic of your audience and what songs they play the most. The more fans you have in cyloop, the more you will know about your audience.

 

• How do I invite my friends to join cyloop?

 

• Click the 'Invite' link in the main navigation

 

• Write your friends' email addresses

 

• Click Continue

 

• Your invitation email has been sent

 

• What browser versions are supported by cyloop?

 

Validated browsers are:

 

• Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6 and higher)

 

• Mozilla Firefox (version 2 and higher)

 

Required Browser Settings:

 

• Cookies must be enabled (see your browser’s Help file)

 

• JavaScript must be enabled (see your browser’s Help file)

 

Browsers not mentioned have not been tested. They may or may not work with cyloop. It is strongly recommended that you use a validated browser. To check your browser's version, it can generally be found under the "Help" menu as the item "About".
