His real name is Alejandro Escajadillo, but his friends used to call him El sinteclados (Without keyboards). His name was brief to Aleks ´cause during the 80´s decade rock stars use to change theirs real names for foreign names. Aleks was a Kraftwerkk fan (A Germany band) and decide to add the letter K to get the Germany sound in his name in order to honor to this famous band.

After working in diverse studios like assistant and technician of recording using his empirical knowledge, in 1985 initiates his first advertising professional productions doing jingles and he started to play with the famous band of hard rock Kenny y los electricos. Two years later at 17 years old he made a couple productions and compositions for famous Latino pop artists like: Sasha, Paulina Rubio, Pandora, Timbiriche, Gypsy Dialect, Microchips, The Wave Petroleum Jelly, Tatiana, among others. Later in the 90's He was the producer in a Pop African Music album for the Peruvian artist Tania Libertad and the Uruguayan Ruben Road with which he gained the attention of the specialized critic inside and outside Mexico as a producer.

Musical development always was self-taught, that's why when he forms his first band as a leader La gente normal (The Normal People) the TV presenter Ricardo Rocha in his program Para gente grande decides to catalogue him as a musical genius of the contemporary scene and is from that diverse critical of press and radio began to denominate the work of Aleks like something propositive, vanguardist, visionary, there unpredictable and by the same; brilliant.

Aleks next to Michael Rojkind (Drummer and Architect) and Leon Chiprut (Guitarist and Photographer) recorded their two productions for the record seal EMI (1989-1993) with which quickly managed to occur to know with successes like Una pequeña parte de tí, Mis impulsos sobre tí and El camino getting for first time at the golden record by but of 250.000 copies in 1993. Their videos were pioneering of MTV Latino when appearing right the first day that this channel began to transmit by cable, later received several nominations to MTV Awards when this famous channel started with it first transmissions. Several of these videos were the first works of cinematographic directors very respected at the present time like: Daniel Gruener, Angel Flores, Carlos Marcovich, Alejandro Lozano, among others

It is possible to mention that in that time interval Aleks collaborated with Alejandro Gonzalez Iñarritu in the radio station WFM and making the incidental music for XHGC Channel 5 (One of most popular in Mexican TV), as well as made lyrics for News TV shows like ECO, for institutional television programs and for diverse radio stations. He work as a creative musician for publicity marks (that go from McDonalds to Volkswagen) and he started to work in his first Score (instrumental music) for the film Cuentos y leyendas del México antiguo with which the attention of Mr. Ray Manzarek (Keyboard lead and founding of the legendary band The Doors), and he decided to collaborate like a guest in his second album. In 1995 Leon Chiprut leaves La gente normal and Aleks made two albums more beside Michael Rojkind and talented staff invited, these album was part of a new moment to make grown the credibility and respect of the critic specialized by his dangerous and conceptual content.

Bienvenido a la vida (1995) it was an innovation with the first interactive game for computers in Latin America and after to edit Lugar secreto (1997) Aleks became the first Latin artist to transmit a live concert by Internet from The Metropolitan Theater México.

Syntek and Chiprut also participated in the albums tribute to Jose Jose and the British Band Queen next to great exponents of the Latin American Rock like: Fito Paez, Aterciopelados, and Café Tacvba, to mention some.

In 1999 La gente normal separate and Aleks Syntek initiates his career as a solo singer making a score for the film Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas becoming the precursor of the Soundtracks into the new Mexican Cinema, receiving with this work diverse prizes like the Ariel that grants the Mexican Academy of Cinematography and becoming double Platinum disc by 500.000 copies sold by the Original Soundtrack. Sexo, Pudor y Lágrimas was the lead song in the Soundtrack, now is a classic into the music and the movie is one of the icons of the present Mexican Cinema.

Later Tu necesitas (unpublished song of its compilation album 89-99), becomes a spectacular success again invading the clubs around Latin America with a radical change of style and a great influence funky – disco. One more time he received the recognition of double platinum by than 500.000 copies sold, and is again from there that Aleks obtains the massive popularity like a completely established artist in all the hearings of the Latin American, doing sold outs in the National Auditorium of the Mexico City (maximum enclosure of the pop music of this country).

De noche en la ciudad was his album debut like solo singer in 2001, songs like Por volverte a ver and Bendito tu corazón became the number one of the Latino radios, managing to be golden record in Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela and Puerto Rico. In March of 2002 North American magazine Keyboard publishes an English news article cataloguing to Syntek like "The Mexican Pop King" and comparing his work with one of live legends in the music, the English Elton John, recognizing this way the music of Aleks before than the Anglo audience.

At the end of the 2003 Aleks presents Mundo Lite, an elegant album with introspective letters that gained the applause of a sensible and demanding international public. With the passage of time one has become its more important international work. Honor guests of high level participate in this work: Benny Ibarra, the Colombian singer Soraya (R.I.P) and the Spanish Ana Torroja (Lead performer of the missing pop band Mecano), with who he composed the most famous duet of his career: Duele el amor, that reached the place #1 in all the Latino stations of the world, #1 of sales of i-tunes Latin by Internet, #1 of the Latin Hot Tracks of the Billboard magazine. Thanks to this success, the work of Aleks Syntek finally was consolidated in Latin America, the United States and Spain.

Duele el amor was recorded in several versions to Italian and the Portuguese as well as remixes made by Dj's in Germany and Japan. In radio also they emphasized the simple ones Te soñe (made next to his colleague and producer Aureo Baqueiro) and A veces fuí by another one of his more important allies, the producer Armando Avila (both old friends of Syntek and with those who he has worked in diverse occasions throughout his career).

Mundo lite reached the Double Platinum in Mexico, Platinum in Colombia and Gold in the United States, Puerto Rico and Spain. In the 2004 it received two Billboard Awards and three nominations for the Grammy Latino, everything a profit for the musical style of Aleks, because he himself has confessed itself within the search of the dangerous and different, Syntek is recognized like a moved away exponent of the fashion and the conventional popular formulas that have been surprised by the commercial success of his work without leaving to a side the great credibility gained on the part of the demanding musical critic.

In 2005 Syntek returns to the cinema with the song of the animated film "Robots" in where besides to collaborate musically also it surprised acting giving voice to the main personage of the film next to the outstanding actress Barbara Mori. In 2006 Aleks one retired of the scenes by a year and one focused to work as composer and producer for international stars like Enrique Iglesias, Alejandro Fernandez "El potrillo" (He made the song for the film El buffalo de la noche of the awarded writer Guillermo Arriaga), and that same year produced the album Me cuesta tanto olvidarte of Ana Torroja, with who it managed to obtain the respect of the Iberian musical union making of audacious way new versions of the musical treasure of the brothers Nacho and Jose Maria Cano of Mecano. Thanks to it personalities like Miguel Bosé, Alejandro Sanz, David Bisbal and he himself Nacho Cano congratulated the great work of Syntek in this album that obtained the platinum disc in Spain, and Mexico a classic work of cult is catalogued already as that no lack in the collection of all music lover. Under the adjustments of the own Syntek, in this work they emphasize fusions of diverse musical sorts that go from the Symphonic Guapango to the Big Band - Swing adapted to the close songs of Mecano with the original voice of their unmistakable interpreter Ana Torroja.

From its Syntek beginnings he always made diverse altruistic activities including the famous official song of the Telethon of Mexico and El Salvador, diverse concerts for foundations of aid to children of the street, orphanages, fights against AIDS, ecological conscience, among others.

At the end of the 2006 famous singer Shakira invites him to comprise of the Latin American Foundation of artists and industrialists united to fight the extreme poverty called ALAS, inaugurating its seat in the city of Panama next to outstanding personalities like Juanes, Babasónicos, Rubén Blades, Juan Luis Guerra, Maná, Diego Torres, Carlos Slim, Joseph Safra, el ex mandatario español Felipe González, Alejandro Soberón, Marinela Servitje, Emilio Azcarraga, to mention some of its members and that promise to be most important in this heading until the moment.

Finally in 2007 Aleks Syntek it is of return with a new material that promises to be his more explosive play denominated Lección de vuelo. Eleven full unpublished songs of diverse musical colors that journey by the Cuban Danzón, the orquestra influence on Beatles style and classic the Pop Retro unique in Syntek style.

11 contagious songs surrounded by a cinematographic atmosphere and creative instrumental passages, in where Aleks relates through its letters (song by song) all a full history of amused narrations and delirious lessons, betting as always to a huge proposal and different from the conventional albums. It emphasize the participation of his musical guests like the successful electronic band Belanova, and the new duet of brothers Jesse y Joy as well as the special surprise of the 80´s contemporaries, since the pioneers of the New Mexican Wave: Bon y los enemigos del silencio meet again after 11 years of musical absence to make a very original song beside to Syntek.

Lección de vuelo also counts on the rhythmical participation of Alfonso André of the famous band Jaguares (Caifanes), as well as on Chetes (Zurdok, Vaquero).

Lección de vuelo is a production made almost in its totality in Mexico accompanied by his old friend and producing outstanding Armando Avila (La quinta estación, Moderatto, RBD) and also counting on the collaboration of the important Anglo-producer again Joe Cicarelli (White Stripes, Elton John, Beck) with whom previously had collaborated.

This awaited album has a unique art, since the cover is a painting made especially by Daniela Manzur, a young outstanding Mexican plastic artist who has managed to captivate with his pictorial work different galleries from Mexico and New York and which Syntek is great admirer.

First hot single of Lección de vuelo is titled INTOCABLE and will flood in the middle of May all the Latino Stations. The album will be made in recyclable packing that does not contaminate. Without a doubt this album will be a classic that I arrive to remain.

At the moment Aleks prepares his first album in English that will appears in the Anglo market so soon.
