Cielo 69 hails from Corpus Christi, Texas. The band formed in 2002 in Dallas, Texas. Members include: Gera Lopez – voz and guitar, Cerrillo – lead guitar, Danny Cuellar- Bass and Mario Capetillo – drums. After having a successful career playing locally, the guys decided to take their music to the next level. They recorded a five song demo in Dallas which received regional airplay and got some airplay in the East coast. The band was invited to do a radio interview at Sirius Satelite Radio in New York. In 2006 the band was signed to Activo Records. Recently, Cielo 69 showcased at the 2007 Billboards Latin Awards. They released their debut album on Febuary 25, 2007. They plan to release special remix versions of their hit singles. Cielo 69 is proud to be involved with the latin music scene and are proud to be in tune with their Mexican Heritage.
