Lyon Music-The Bio

At the tender age of 8 years old Lyon Music, born Michael DeLeon, began his musical career with a youth movement by the name of Break Master. With an agenda of enlightening their peers and bringing about a positive message, the group used their talents to promote a drug-free lifestyle in their native Dominican Republic. Six years the latter Lyon Music was sent by his parents to Puerto Rico to finish his secondary education. “Being surrounded by a melting pot of Caribbean sounds helped cultivate my love for music, especially Regaetton”. Armed with the culture and sounds of these two islands, Lyon decided to further his musical education in New York City.
Upon arriving in the big apple, Lyon Music joined a group by the name of Dominican Flavor. Armed with the culture and sounds of these two islands, Lyon decided to further his musical education in New York City.

During his brief stint with Dominican Flavor, Lyon Music realized that his talents were best showcased as a solo artist. At this time Lyon Music started working on his demo with an up and coming producer/artist by the name of Ben G. While tirelessly working on his demo, Lyon Music began to make his mark on the underground regaetton circuit. As the ultimate self promoter, Lyon Music took a turn at impressing the audition judges for a breakout new artist showcase entitled “Las Estrellas del futuro del Regaetton”, a segment of the longest running and most popular Spanish language television show, Sabado Gigante. During the recording of this event Lyon Music was connected with “Del Patio”, an amazing new group comprised of two artists by the name of Sensato and Zawezo.
As faith would have it, Lyon Music’s introduction to “Del Patio” led him right into the studio of one of NYC’s best young producers, K.O. With K.O.’s genius for linking the right M.C. to the perfect musical arrangement, Lyon Music knew he was on the fast road to stardom. During a second self produced promotional tour of the Dominican Republic, he was not only accompanied by fellow artists Ben G. and Mr.Colon, but also with producer/artist K.O. and Del’ Patio. The artists were able to perform in front of thousands, be guests on radio shows, and featured in newspaper articles chronicling their homecoming.
Now back in NYC and equipped with a replenished musical spirit, Lyon Music headed directly into the studio to contribute on a collaborative mix CD entitled “M.U.S.I.C”. Lyon Music also self produced his own music video for his smash single “Que Lo K” which features Del’Patio. Shortly after the release of “Que Lo K”, Lyon Music was booked to perform on the heavily promoted 2nd Anniversary concert for the website www.lostraficantes.com. This showcase was a huge success and one of Lyon Music’s greatest moments as a young artist. Lyon Music continues on pace to becoming a dominant force within regaetton scene.
