Biography
Solidroots was born out of the heart of six guys and two girls who wanted to worship God and spread His message of love to the world. As a rock band, they sought to play music that brings both believers closer to Gods presence and non-believers to hear Gods good news. Solidroots began as a praise and worship project for their youth group at their local church in Weston, FL. The band consists of 8 members: Renzo and Patricia in guitars, Sonny in bass, David in drums, Greg also known as DJ Progress in turntables, Gonza in keyboards and effects, and Roberto and Lili in lead vocals. In the beginning, they started covering songs from other bands such as DC talk, Salvador, Planet Shakers, and the OC Supertones. Together, they fused their music styles into one unique style. During their formation, they saw how God worked through their music by igniting a fire into the hearts of teenagers and young adults. Once it was fully clear to them that they were being called to serve God, they made a commitment to each other and God to stay together. The bands name Solidroots came from the need to plant their musical and spiritual roots into Gods solid ground. Solidroots music style cannot be fixed into a specific category.
